Commissioned by Carousel for their integrated company High Spin, the work developed through collaborative workshops with the company in which visual images of Japan were explored. The performance was divided into two parts. The first half used sea and ceremony, the second half city life and Karaoke.

'A touching journey by a woman whose shiny black hat masked her face as she threw down her handkerchief and retrieved it over and over again as if reciting a litany………the first half closed impressively with Ben Pierre in a long robe holding aloft an umbrella while rice rain literally hailed down on him’.
